They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, but eventually you have to ask yourself: Is it worth it?

The Menu stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Margot, who travels with her boyfriend (Nicholas Hoult) to a private island for an exclusive dining experience. What starts as a satire of foodie culture gives way to something closer to The Most Dangerous Game, presided over by Ralph Fiennes' ominous Chef Slowik.

"He's not just a chef, he's a storyteller," Hoult's character explains in the movie's trailer. "The game is trying to guess what the overarching theme of the entire meal is gonna be. You won't know until the end."

The theme for this particular meal appears to be survival. Hong Chau plays Fiennes' loyal sous-chef, with a cast that also includes John Leguizamo, Judith Light, and Janet McTeer.

The Menu is directed by Mark Mylod (whose last feature was 2011's What's Your Number?, though in recent years has helmed episodes of Game of Thrones and Succession) from a script by comedy writers Seth Reiss and Will Tracy. Adam McKay (an Oscar winner for The Big Short and nominee for Vice and Don't Look Up) is among the producers.

The Menu is in theaters on Nov. 18. Watch the trailer below.
