Light as a feather, stiff as a board has nothing on Bodies Bodies Bodies, the party game at the center of A24's upcoming slasher. Set at a mansion during a hurricane, the film follows a group of privileged Gen Zers whose binge drinking, drug snorting and general debauchery leads to a round of "Bodies Bodies Bodies."

"So, how do you play?" Lee Pace's character asks in the trailer.

"If you draw the piece of paper that has the X on it, you are the murderer," Amandla Stenberg's Sophie explains. "Everyone else has to avoid being killed."

Except this time, the kills are real. So, who will survive a night of gaslighting, triggering and murder? And who's taking the game to a new bloody level? In addition to Stenberg, Bodies Bodies Bodies stars Rachel Sennott, Chase Sui Wonders, Myha'la Herrold and Oscar nominee Maria Bakalova, alongside Pace and Pete Davidson.

Dutch actress-turned-filmmaker Halina Reijn is at the helm. The slasher was written by Sarah DeLappe, Chloe Okuno, Joshua Sharp, Aaron Jackson, and Kristen Roupenian, who wrote the viral 2017 short story Cat Person for The New Yorker (which is being adapted into a thriller directed by Susanna Fogel and is currently in post-production). The Bodies Bodies Bodies trailer also previews an original track by Charli XCX. Watch below.

A24 will release Bodies Bodies Bodies into theaters on Aug. 5.
