Turns out, there are projects even more intense than Euphoria. Principal photography wrapped on Hunter Schafer's movie debut, Cuckoo, and NEON has released a first look at the actress in the upcoming horror film.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the still shows Schafer's character bruised and bandaged and hiding from an ominous figure. The cast also includes Dan Stevens, Jessica Henwick, Marton Csókás and Greta Fernández.

Schafer shared the first look photo on social media and captioned it with a feather emoji:

Schafer is best known for playing Jules on HBO's hit series Euphoria, which marked her acting debut. (She's since co-written and co-executive produced a special episode, "F**k Anyone Who's Not a Sea Blob.") While Cuckoo will be her first movie, Schafer also recently joined the cast of The Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, as Tigris Snow.

Cuckoo comes via writer-director Tilman Singer (2018's Luz), who shot with DP Paul Faltz filming on 35mm in his native Germany. The film will open in theaters in 2023.
