Every screen is the big screen to Marcel the Shell.

Still, the fact that everybody's favorite shoe-wearing seashell is the star of his own full-length movie is sure to bring a tear to googly eyes everywhere. Ten years after their beloved short film introduced the adorable exoskeleton to the world, Dean Fleischer-Camp and Jenny Slate are sending Marcel on his biggest adventure yet.

Marcel the Shell with Shoes On sees its titular one-inch tall hero leaving behind his quaint existence with his grandmother Connie (Isabella Rossellini) and their pet lint, Alan, to find his long-lost family. Though he doesn't know how long it's been since he last saw them, as Marcel says, "a space in my heart gets bigger and louder every day."

Slate (who voices Marcel) wrote the screenplay with Nick Paley and Fleischer-Camp, who directs and also appears in the movie as Dean, the documentarian who first discovered Marcel. Rosa Salazar and Thomas Mann co-star, as does 60 Minutes host Lesley Stahl as herself.

A24 will release Marcel the Shell with Shoes On in theaters on June 24.
