On March 8, the U.S. Embassy in London held a private event at Winfield House in celebration of International Women's Day with female directors, actors and producers, as well as artists and political figures, to discuss "the important role that women in the creative arts industry play in deepening the relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom."

Ambassador Philip T. Reeker shared a few images from the event, which featured speakers Waad Al-Kateab, a 2021 Academy Gold Fellowship for Women recipient, and Leslie Caron, a two-time Oscar-nominated actress.

Other guests in attendance included, Aislinn Clarke (2019 Academy Gold Fellowship for Women recipient), Kathryn Crockart (Acting Deputy Chief of Mission, U.S. Embassy London), Ethosheia Hylton (2018 Academy Gold Fellowship for Women recipient), and Misan Sagay (screenwriter, Academy member and Chair, International Events Committee).
