Most people can’t imagine what life would be like for a military veteran to return home after having both arms amputated. This undergraduate film from the USC School of Cinematic Arts should help all of us try to empathize.

Cradle was produced with the help of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, ASIFA-Hollywood’s Animation Educator’s Forum, and dozens of Kickstarter donors. Watch the full-length version of Cradle above, written, animated, and directed by Devon Manney. In 2017, Devon won a Student Academy Award for his work.
