Doll check-in, doll check-in: Margot Robbie's life may not be in plastic — this is the fashion doll's first-ever live-action movie — but it's still fantastic in a first look at Barbie. The photo shows two-time Oscar nominee Robbie in a perfectly paired ensemble with perfectly brushed blonde hair, driving a perfectly pink Barbie Dream Car.

Her main accessory — Ryan Gosling's Ken — is not included in this first look.

Little is know about the plot of Barbie, but the cast also includes Kingsley Ben-Adir, Michael Cera, Scott Evans, Emerald Fennell, Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Ariana Greenblatt, Simu Liu, Emma Mackey, Kate McKinnon, Hari Nef, Issa Rae and Alexandra Shipp. Hopefully Warner Bros. will open their respective boxes soon to give us a peek.

Three-time Oscar nominee Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird and Little Women) is directing from a script she co-wrote with her partner, Noah Baumbach, who is himself a three-time Oscar nominee. "People generally hear Barbie and think, 'I know what that movie is going to be,'" Robbie told British Vogue. "And then they hear that Greta Gerwig is writing and directing it, and they're like, 'Oh, well, maybe I don't.'"

Your first look at Robbie as Barbie is below.

Barbie will park her pink convertible in theaters on July 21, 2023.
