Laurie Strode is smiling... for now. Jamie Lee Curtis shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of Halloween Ends, captioned "OLD DOG, NEW TRICKS." The forthcoming installment in the slasher series marks the actress' seventh – and, if the title is any indication, final – turn as Laurie, a role she first played over four decades ago in 1978 in John Carpenter’s Halloween, the influential horror film that introduced audiences to Michael Myers, one of the genre’s most iconic villains, and got the whole franchise started.
Halloween Ends marks the culmination of director David Gordon Green's trilogy, after 2018's Halloween and last year's Halloween Kills.
Though Halloween Kills racked up quite the body count, Laurie isn't the sole survivor to make it all the way to Halloween Ends. A second set photo shows Curtis with Andi Matichak, who plays her granddaughter Allyson Nelson, and Kyle Richards, returning once again to play Lindsey Wallace.
"TOGETHER TILL THE END!" Curtis captioned the photo.
Noting the lack of blood splatter in both photos, it's safe to say Michael Myers has yet to strike. That's sure to change when Halloween Ends hits theaters on Oct. 14, 2022.
