After traveling to infinity and beyond with 2022's Lightyear, Disney and Pixar are returning to outer space for a very different sort of misadventure in Elio. Unlike Buzz, 11-year-old underdog Elio (voiced by Yonas Kibreab) has absolutely no business being in space, but that's exactly where he ends up after he is mistaken for Earth's leader and beamed up to the Communiverse to stand trial for the entire planet.
Elio hails from filmmaker Adrian Molina, who co-wrote and co-directed 2017's Oscar-winning Coco and now makes his solo directorial debut. The movie's voice cast includes America Ferrera as Elio's mom Olga, Jameela Jamil as alien Ambassador Questa and Brad Garrett as Ambassador Grigon.
Elio arrives in now set to hit theaters on June 13, 2025. (The movie was originally slated to release on March 1, 2024.) Watch the teaser trailer below.
