Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen are reuniting and heading abroad in Book Club 2 — The Next Chapter, and with production officially underway in Italy, we have our first look at the ladies setting out for "the fun girls trip they never had."
The follow-up to the 2018 hit Book Club will follow the quartet of Diane (Oscar winner Keaton), Vivian (Oscar winner Fonda), Sharon (Oscar nominee Bergen) and Carol (Oscar winner Steenburgen) when they embark on a once-in-a-lifetime cross-country adventure, during which secrets will be reveled and, presumably, a book will be discussed.
The first film saw the gals spice up their respective lives by reading Fifty Shades of Grey during their monthly book club: Diane found a new love in Andy García, Vivian rekindles an old flame in the form of Don Johnson and Carol finds the spark again with her husband (Craig T. Nelson). All three love interests will reprise their roles.
Book Club 2 will also welcome franchise newcomers Giancarlo Giannini, Hugh Quarshie and Vincent Riotta. Bill Holderman will once again direct from a screenplay he wrote with Erin Simms. Focus Features, Endeavor Content and Makeready unveiled the first still below.

Book Club 2 will arrive in theaters on Mother's Day, May 12, 2023.
