Short Takes: “Howl’s Moving Castle”
Dec 17, 2020
In our Short Takes series, a new generation of film fans help us examine the latest releases, re-watch the classics and re-discover why we fell so hard for storytelling in the first place.
In this episode, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, 10-year-old Milo and 7-year-old Roy reveal why they love the 2004 Hayao Miyazaki film Howl’s Moving Castle.
Miyazaki will be the subject of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures’ inaugural temporary exhibition, which will transport visitors through the animation giant’s six-decade career using storyboards, character designs, backgrounds, posters and more. Read about the exhibition here.
