Short of the Week: “Age of Sail”

Age of Sail is the story of William Avery (voiced by Ian McShane), an old sailor adrift and alone in the North Atlantic ocean in 1900. When Avery reluctantly rescues a girl Lara, who has mysteriously fallen overboard, Avery "finds redemption and hope in his darkest hours."

Directed by John Kahrs, created by Google Spotlight Stories, and produced by Chromosphere and Evil Eye Pictures — Age of Sail was shortlisted for the 91st Academy Awards.
