How to Watch 'The Fallout' on HBO Max

The trailer for The Fallout begins with a trigger warning, advising, "What you are about to see involves issues of trauma. Viewer discretion is advised." And while the coming-of-age drama – following the teenage survivors of a school shooting as they navigate their suffering – is certainly intense, it is also a deeply empathetic and moving portrait of what it means to be a young person in the world today.

"I wanted to approach this in a way that could reach people on an emotional level, without it becoming a political agenda or trying to [force-feed] them a message," director Megan Park tells A.Frame. "And I also hope that it reaches people who have been through something as awful as this, and makes them feel less alone, and reminds them we haven't forgotten."

Cast and crew:

Jenna Ortega (Scream), Maddie Ziegler (Dance Moms), Niles Fitch (This Is Us), Will Ropp (The Way Back) and newcomer Lumi Pollack star, along with Julie Bowen, John Ortiz and Shailene Woodley. The Fallout marks the feature film directorial debut of writer-director Megan Park.
