All eyes on La Croisette. The Cannes Film Festival officially unveiled the lineup for its 77th edition, which features new works from Andrea Arnold, Francis Ford Coppola, Yorgos Lanthimos, George Miller, and more. This year's festival, which kicks off on May 14 and runs through May 25, will be presided over by four-time Oscar nominee Greta Gerwig, who becomes the first American woman director to serve as jury president of the Main Competition. (Xavier Dolan is jury president of Un Certain Regard and Lukas Dhont for the Queer Palm.)

Last year's festival ended with Justine Triet's Anatomy of a Fall taking home the Palme d'Or and Jonathan Glazer's The Zone of Interest winning the Grand Prix. Both films were nominated for Best Picture at the 96th Oscars; Anatomy of a Fall went on to win the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and The Zone of Interest won Best International Feature Film and Best Sound. Cannes director Thierry Frémaux says this year's slate is "a strong indication of what cinema has become, its changes, evolutions and what remains immutable."
